Once you've obtained organic certification, you will need to update your standing annually. Certification doesn't just roll over into the next year according to the Final Rule §205.406.
To maintain your organic certification, you need to pay all annual certification fees and submit any new information to your certifying agent. You may need to submit an updated production or handling organic system plan, additions to or deletions from the information required pursuant to §205.401(b), updates that correct any minor noncompliances (as needed) and any other documents your specific organic certifying agent requires.
